Paralives Releases New Community Survey
This past week, Paralives continued involving its community in the development of the game, releasing a new community survey. The survey, which focuses on the community members’ experiences with disabilities, chronic illnesses, impairments, and neurodivergence, seeks to learn and consider what could be incorporated into the game.
We don’t intend on adding specific mental illnesses or physical disabilities but rather positive-focused actions, traits and characteristics

Shortly after the original tweet about the survey, the Paralives team clarified that the survey was for educational purposes to learn what could be included and what should not be. They wrote, “We don’t intend on adding specific mental illnesses or physical disabilities but rather positive-focused actions, traits and characteristics” (@ParalivesGame on Twitter).
The survey is divided into four sections: gameplay features, personality and support systems, items and physical characteristics, and resources. In each section, the team asks questions surrounding the community’s experiences and what they think should or should not be incorporated into the game. Along with the questions, the team includes some pictures and potential features to consider, although they clarify that these features are just examples, and are not confirmed.

Some of the questions included dive into topics like school and workplace support, how members of the community relax and recharge, and personality trait ideas. The survey overall covers a wide variety of potential features and emphasizes the Paralives team’s care and attentiveness to their community and product.
