Paralives Team Welcomes Fourth Member as Monthly Patreon Funding exceeds $9,000

Christine Joins Paralives Team as Communications Director

Alex Masse today announced that a fourth person has joined the Paralives team. It comes as the Paralives Patreon pledge passed $9,000 per month in funding. The new team member, Christine, will be taking care of Marketing & Communications for the upcoming life simulation game. You can read the press release below.

This week, something really important happened on the team: we recruited someone new! Christine will be doing a part time internship on the Paralives team for the summer. She will take care of everything related to marketing and communications. So she will work on collecting ideas from everyone, replying to messages, plan and prepare social media posts and improve our web pages and social media platforms in general! In short, what that means is that with Christine’s help, we hope to share more stuff about the game and collect more ideas 🙂

It’s because of you and your support here on Patreon that we were able to recruit Christine on the team. Your money is directly used to increase the size of the team and we aim to hire more and more people in the future to help us make Paralives the best game it can be!

You can follow Christine on twitter here: https://twitter.com/ChriParalives
She will also join us on Discord so you will see her around if you like to hang out there!

Last week, we shared a bit more about the team and why we are making Paralives. The team and I were so happy to read everyone’s story and learn about your passion for simulation games! It really connected with us and we feel so honored to be able to make a game that appeals to all of you!

So to complete last week’s post, here’s what Christine wrote about her!

It’s time we get to know each other! Like many of you, I was first drawn to Paralives because life simulation games were and still are a big interest of mine. I got into the Sims when the first serie was released and begged my sister to let me play. Needless to say, I became hooked for life. I absolutely thrived on recreating my (ideal?) life and being a troublemaker. As much as I love imagining things, I’m not an artistic person by any means (I can’t draw to save my life), so the game became my creative outlet and a place where I could escape real life.

I think my choice of academic field may have been influenced by life simulation games somehow. In university, I decided to study Consumer Science. I wanted to understand the needs, motives and personality traits of consumers (or Sims?) in order to make them happy. I also wanted to be able to express my creativity, not by building houses or creating characters, but by coming up with new ideas to keep everyone informed and excited.

When I discovered Paralives, I was instantly impressed. With all of its features, it dawned on me that my dream game was coming to life. However, what really reeled me in was the care that Alex, Roxane and Léa have for the game. Slowly, my dream game became my dream internship and I aim to perpetuate that care in my daily actions within Paralives. I’m really excited to join the team and can’t wait to see what the future holds. I can assure you, it looks bright for Paralives!

Paralives is an upcoming life simulation game set to be released on PC & Mac. No release date has yet been announced.
