A user-created book of ideas for Paralives.
Thanks to the efforts of many influencers, upcoming life simulation game Paralives has attracted the attention of thousands of fans across the world, many of whom took to the official Discord server to discuss the game.
The creator, Alex Masse, invited fans to share their ideas for what they would like to see in the game. And perhaps due to the spike in popularity, thousands of ideas began flooding the server, many of which were getting lost.
But Discord user Apple2T4ch found a solution to this problem and created an online document, dubbed the ‘Parabook’, for people to contribute their ideas in more detail.
Over 100 pages of community driven ideas.
The book is, essentially, a collection of ideas and suggestions submitted by members of the Paralives community. Ideas such as ‘fears and phobias’, objects we’d like to see, and in-depth game mechanics for personalties, education, and even death.
Many of the suggestions are favourite features that the community has come to expect in a life simulation, while others are features never seen before, like hair-growth and shaving.
Another useful source of information we found in the Parabook is a complete list of features that are confirmed, or planned, by the developer so far. Additionally, there is also a list of features that are confirmed NOT to be in the game:
- Open world
- Colour wheel
- Curved Walls
- Split Level
- Curved Pools
- Optional grid
- Ability to create different lots and the size you want them to be
- Exact angles of a wall
- Free updates
- Point and click character movement
Items above highlighted bold are features that we have not yet covered on The Paralives Hub.
- Murder, through gore
- Sexual violence
- Console version
- Suicidal features
It’s worth mentioning that, although it has been confirmed there won’t be a console version of Paralives, it is not unheard of for Indie games to release a console version later on. Stardew Valley is just one example of this.
Submit your ideas to the Parabook!
Although not every feature may make it to the game from the Parabook, we highly encourage you to get involved! The creator, Alex, is aware of this book and we’re sure he will take inspiration from it!
