What hobbies would you like your parafolk to have?

I like all of these ideas! The ones that stand out to me the most is origami and model car/plane building. These are so unique! I’d love to see them in game! 😀

Be able to make perfume
Candle making
Pen-paling
Journaling (could also be a used as a memory bank.)
Hiking
Pottery
crochet scarfs or blankets hats etc, /Sewing clothes/embroidery
Volunteer opportunities to help other paras

Would be fun if we could do hobbies like modelling and programming for fun, and maybe even being able to turn them into careers in ways such as being able develop your own games or sell your own models or being a freelancer programmer.

I’m just throwing ideas here but I think the whole “work at home” thing would be cool to have as a viable option so I wanted to add a few ideas, I suppose.

also, it would be fun to be a better modeler in Paralives than I would be as an actual modeler, lol.

As I read Kaylin’s list, this is exactly what came to mind – many of those hobbies could be turned into home businesses. It would be nice to have that option. Maybe it could start out as a hobby and as the para’s skills go up, the option would pop up to continue as a hobby or turn it into a business.

I’d love to see everything mentioned here, though I doubt we’ll get it all. To add to what’s been said, in terms of animal related hobbies, I’d like to see pet competitions as a hobby. I really hope we’ll be able to have Parafolk who do agility and other sports with their cats, dogs, and horses.

Yes! This is what I was going to say. It would be cool if Parafolks could make their own computer games and console games as well as board games and card games. I’m a geek about that kind of stuff. 😛

I love all of the hobbies all of you have suggested! They are all great additions to the game and could see my characters doing all of them. Although, I do have some suggestions myself.

I would like to see
– Hunting/fishing
– collecting different items (not much of a hobby, but a cool idea)
– blogging/writing
– making/programming video games
– baking/cooking
– crafting and selling them
– modeling/wood making
And many more! These are just a few.

Knitting, Crafting, Cooking, Gardening and cleaning too are my top hobbies, i would love my parafolk to have those hobbies

According to the Apr Devstalk, sports are confirmed by one of the developers 🙂 I’m happy to see that. I wonder now which ones we’ll get and how they’ll function. I can’t imagine we’ll see a huge number fully animated and programmed sports games, but maybe we could have a town gym, stadium, or arena that Parafolks could visit to watch games. We wouldn’t be able to see inside of them, but we could hear the games going on and it could light up at night. Maybe we could have in-universe sports teams with outfits and merchandise that can be purchased and Paras can be fans of.

But on to the main focus, sports as a hobby. It would be nice if Paras could take up a sport as young children and have to practice often to keep up their skills. I’d be cute if they could join little league teams, which could allow them to learn to play better. As they grow older they can learn more techniques. Parafolk with sports as a hobby would probably enjoy watching that sport on TV and watching games in person. They might want to do these actions without the player having to make them do it. If schools have sports teams, Paras might want to join if their preferred hobby sport is available.

I’d love to see Parafolk being into cars.

I want to see them fix and tune their cars (or put on some tacky stuff to make it look fast), go cruising around town, find old cars to restore and sell for a huge profit, meet up with other car fanatics at a local parking lot, take pictures of someone’s expensive ride, and anything else that car fanatics do.

Probably too niche for everyone’s taste, but I just want cars in Paralives to be more than just something that gets folk from A to B quickly.

i feel like depending on your paras personality they should do certain things to relive stress bc in another game they might be artistic but they will be tense so they cant paint but that doesn’t really make sense to me because if you tense then you can paint till you calm down.

I’m not sure if this would count as a hobby in-game but….

I think it would be cool if there was a Collector Hobby and you could set it to collect any type of item in the game. So their hobby could be collecting chairs for example. Maybe they could take pictures of them and scrapbook them as well.

So it could be a bit like the Voidcritter feature in Sims 4 but customizable so that it could be about collecting anything.

I always see videos on Youtube of people who end up collecting the most random things. I think it could be an interesting hobby to have in the game.

Also I’d just love the chaotic energy that would come from visiting a neighbors house and it’s just full of chairs and nothing else.
