This is something I’ve never seen in the Sims 2 always focused on linear careers.

I think it would be super great to have a volunteering option from teen to elders, for all kind of activities like humanitarian, ecologlical, simply social to interact with pro Paras like in a hospital, a psychologist, a social worker, those needing help (disabled people, psychologically fragile people, homeless, migrants, etc.).

The more a Para would get involved in volunteering, the more he would gain points for personality, opportunities to work somewhere as … (?) sometimes without even studying in College or needing to have a diploma (if a teen or young adult). Adult or elder volunteers could be granted with extra gifts (like donations in fact) which could be money, furniture, food, clothes or even inheriting, in an extra bonus Treasure Box to unlock for them.

This could be very interesting for social Paras interactions, not just with family, colleagues or friends. But in a more collective helpful human world. Therefore interact with total strangers a little more than for only friendship or superficial contact.

Ooo I like this idea! Volunteering being for paras that don’t want to get jobs right away but gain experience so there could be better positions they could take or be offered for when they do get jobs later on. If colleges become a part of Paralives in the future maybe it could go towards a diploma in helping gain college credit?

Maybe also they could start organizations to help other paras in their communities too, that also allows others to volunteer

Volunteering could allow a wide range of interactions with other paras. I also think of creating one’s own community, like an eco-village where inhabitants or paras on holidays could help for farming, renovate an old house, help children (school work, etc.), a family, elders in their daily life. All autonomous activities and all eco-economic so that Paras wouldn’t need to take their car or other transportation to buy food, clothes, etc. And “business” would only be local, including teleworking when necessary anyway.

Maybe out of the standard economics, another idea would be universal basic income for all, so that Paras would have at the same time all the leisure to be active as vounteers, even for many years.

You have so many super good ideas Sana 🙂 I’d really like the opportunity to volunteer.
