Tables and eating
April 13, 2020 at 3:47 pmI’m not sure if this has been mentioned already or not, but I would love for the parafolk to actually use the tables to eat at when they are placed instead of just standing around.
I would like to see them actually pick out each or close to each individual ingredient when they are fixing to cook instead of it being a cutting board with everything on it, but that might be to much.

I would like to see this too. It might be too much for each ingredient, but we could have something like taking ingredients from different places, instead of everything from the fridge. For example, instead of taking the box of cereals from the fridge, the Parafolk would take just the milk, and then take the cereals from a cabinet or the counter. And being able to place some foods like the cereals, sugar, flour, tea, etc, on top of counters could be interesting too.

The cooking might be too much, but I’m sure Parafolk will sit at the table to eat. Unless you don’t have a table I guess XD
Of course, thinking about it now, maybe some families would prefer to eat in their own rooms or in front of the TV. Maybe there could be a way to set some sort of “preferred eating spot”. But that might be a bit much.

I agree I’d love to see this but with the amount of ingredients that may be in the game it’d be too much. But who knows mods could make it a reality! I think it’d be cool if cooking became a mini game within the game itself of some sort.
But as another posted I’d love to see paras taking ingredients from different areas of the kitchen (eggs from fridge, flour from cabinets, maybe veggies from a hanging basket or counter top) -
The standing around while eating is annoying so yes please have them sit. As for ingredients i’m not so sure that it would be possible, but it’s great insight. Just hope with that thoat cooking times won’t be ramped up a huge amount. Timing is precious when you have other things to do or kids to feed especially toddlers if they can eat what’s been cooked.

i would definitely be on board, it’s one of the things i’m willing to sacrifice because it’s not really that important, and with how eventful and feature-packed the game is looking like it will be, i think it’s a small price to pay for salvation. to sacrifice this idea for better performance and less lag, especially for lower end PC’s

I’m OK with the ingredients coming out of one/two places but it would be nice to have them sit at the table to eat. The sofa in front of the TV would be OK too, especially if they live alone. However, the bedrooms and the bathrooms should be off-limits for eating/drinking.
