Hi guys!
So I disappeared for a few months… I used to be online every day and read every thread. I came online today and decided to go combing through everything I missed (pushed past my social anxiety about liking old posts and everything). It took me a few hours, but not as long as I expected. I noticed most threads on the first page haven’t been updated in a week, and the second page not in a month. Are things a lot slower these days? Is it because there was a gap in news from the devs? I haven’t been the best hubkin lately but I don’t want the whole hub to dry up! Are you guys still around? Maybe I’ve just come in at a bad time.
Hope everyone is well! It’s good to be back in any case.

I think it’s bound to happen. This game has a long way to go but coming up with ideas takes no time, and since there are a lot of people coming up with ideas, eventually ideas will start to become similar or slow done, thus getting less interaction. I think things will come alive once again when the game is released or when there is some sort of demo or beta. We have the dev updates, but those don’t get much interaction.

Well for me personally, I’m back in my uni classes so I don’t get to come around as often as I could over the summer.
But yeah, I assume it’s because the development updates kinda slowed down a bit lately. The Sebestain’s summer video was the first update we had in a while. Once we start seeing more new videos, we’ll probably have some more posts.

I’m here almost every day looking for news or new posts. I’ve even gone back to reading old posts from last year that for some reason I missed (and I’m clicking “like” on some without any guilt). I do have to say that my excitement for the game is dwindling a little. It seems to be going in a direction that doesn’t sound like it would be fun to play for me. Of course, I’ll wait until the game is actually released before I make up my mind – if I’m still interested in playing these types of game by that time. It feels like the beginning of the end for me (as far as enthusiasm for these types of game is concerned).

My enthusiasm for “these types of games” is struggling a little, at least in regard to that other franchise. I’ve pinned my hopes on Paralives being the thing that spices things up a little. It’s unfortunate that the game is taking turns you don’t agree with, I hope with all the time you’ve dedicated you at least get something you like at release!

I see no shame in replying to old posts at this moment, I think that would be good to bring up some of the ideas for new people to see it and comment on. What is about the direction of the game that doesn’t sound fun to you? I am curious.

Many of the disabilities and illnesses mostly. It just sounds so depressing to me. I understand that people want to re-create themselves but for me it’s just too real. I play games to escape reality.

If I am not mistaken, they said that they’re not gonna add many of those disabilities in game exactly becuase of that reason.
This is the link to that tweet:

This survey is meant to educate ourselves on what could be added to the game and what should not. We don’t intend on adding specific mental illnesses or physical disabilities but rather positive-focused actions, traits and characteristics.

I think it is because the game updates have slowed down and also due to the fact the game is not at all near release. Ever since since the official Paralives Discord bot stopped linking to the “planned features” Wiki here on the Hub, new traffic has more or less died. The only thing drawing traffic currently is news updates via social media, or when links to the forum are shared.
I hope that once the game is released, and if the modding community utilises this website, there should be more reasons to visit here. Hopefully things turn around. I do have a team of writers and moderators now who are a huge help, so all hope is not lost for our site. 🙂

Yes, I noticed it too, I think it’s because so many ideas have already been mentioned and some things have been repeated. Thats why there are probably fewer posts to add ideas that have not yet been mentioned. Maybe there will be more when new updates are gonna released. I see all the posts in patreon but not everyone is a patron.

I noticed that, too. I’ve been thinking about writing a new article because last thing we wrote was at the start of october. There aren’t many news in the developing side, they do have a new team member though. She is a 3D artist and an intern. By now this is old news though, it happened on 16th of October xD I just saw it.
Once the game is out or with more game updates we may have more traffic. I agree with the idea stuff, all that can be thought of have been written in the hub.

Let’s hope the devs take a look around at the many ideas here. 🙂
