Relationship histories and Crushes
September 15, 2019 at 11:01 pmI think itd be interesting if Paralives remembered relationships. Like friends relationships,ex’s and ex-spouses, their own relationships and how those relationships ended. When paralives characters have dated a character in the game and say for instance their friend or someone they know also dated that person, they could have a notification that says something like ‘Jessica dated also Liam in past’ or ‘Remember Steven caught James cheating’. The friend could also be notified of this when they meet or the character could tell them,the other character could then have a good or bad reaction. They could also be given moodlets for when this happens. The moodlets could be positive or negative (angry,sad,acceptance,or jealous etc.). The positive moodlets would only last for a day or two if they are accepting of the relationship. If the character is sad,angry or jealous it could forever alter the friendships between characters. The negative moodlets would depend on how the past relationships have ended. If it is a normal breakup and mutual with both parties, they will get the default acceptance/happy moodlet. If the relationship ended by cheating or betrayal or divorce they would get one of the negative moodlets.
Crushes without interacting
Paralives characters could develop crushes without interacting with other characters. Traits during CAC (create a character) could be chosen that each para would be attracted, to depending on gender/sexual preference.
Would then spawn crushes in the world based on those traits when out in town.This would be available to teens, young adults, adults, and elders. This could be called a paraheart. The crushes wouldn’t always happen every time they are out but would generate randomly. Other paras in the community can gain crushes on your active para and could also be approached by them to talk or be asked out.
If they are to talk to crushes they can be given an emotional moodlet (positive or negative) depending the connection between each other. They can be rejected or ignored,liked back or offer to be added as contact (will be added to phone). These are also options where the active player can choose as well towards other characters.
If the two go without talking this could shorten the attraction until they are strangers again so similar to sims 2 night-life dating but not quite. Dates can happen if connection bar reaches a certain level. Dates can go multiple ways: 2nd date, one night stand,stay friends, or even ghost the character.
If the character is ghosted there can be an emotional response of 3 stages sadness,perplexed,and angry. If you’re playing the active character and you ghost another character you can receive calls and texts multiple times a day (which can be accepted or rejected). They could be sent angry texts, mentioned on parasocial (social media) which can cause you to lose or gain followers.
