    There are many products in our daily lives that exist because of biotechnology and microbiology and I think it would be amazing if they were in gameplay.

    For example:

    Parafolk could make homemade yougurt, cheese, wine, beer (and other alcoholic beverages), if they had really good biotechnology skills maybe they also could make some homemade medicine.

    For most of the products parafolk would have to know microorganisms (MO) that produce them very well and with higher microbiology skill they would know better about MO and make better biotech products.

    Different MO give different products, but maybe with genetic engineering you could fuse some of their qualities into one MO (but also there would be unwanted consequences eg the MO would work slowly).

    There would be microscopes (normal size, unless there would be more kinds of microscopes and there would be those big laboratory microscopes with computer build in and everything).

    Parafolk and animals could get infected with different MO, parasites, viruses

    Parafolk scientis (or just parafolk with biotech knowledge ) could research medicine (modern and traditional and discover new medicine to help doctors fight the pathogens).

    As a scientist parafolk could discover new pesticides and such (it could be chemical or biological and that could affect the parafolks and environmental health).

    I don’t know how much politics will there be in the game but if they were, what is allowed in genetic engineering would depend on politics.

    Yearly awards for new discoveries (not everything can be discovered by high skill but also by research and dedication, which would take parafolk quite a long time).

    Accidental discoveries, maybe.

    It would be easy to manipulate and multiply some MO like E.coli and yeast and it would be very hard to do that with animal cells.

    Scientist could team up on a project.

    Scientific school projects, at least for some extra credit.

    There would be laboratories in the world or you could also build on or have a small home lab.

    Laboratory field trips.

    Different scientist​ jobs (microbiologist, biotechnologist, (not on the list but still science) biologist, mathematician, physicist, chemist,…)

    Ok… That’s it for now. I am a little science nerd so excuse my probably not so doable wish to have such detailed science in game but anything from the list (even just home food production) would make me happy. 😀

  • This could add a lot of cool, unique gameplay to the game. You’ve got so many ideas I haven’t seen before! I wouldn’t expect the full extent of it in the game, at least until we could maybe have DLC centred around those careers. However, making yoghurt and stuff I can see possibly being in the base game, depending on how in-depth the farming features are. I like that you’re bringing some science nerdery to the discussion Grin

  • I’d love to see more science in games this would be fun!

    id like if paras could make and run their own dairy farms/creamery and compete with other farms in the world for customers. Been able to run a pharmacy would be cool too. The idea of making medicine and having accidental discoveries as you mentioned would be interesting!

    I’d love to see pharamcology and herbology in the game in regards to treating what you mentioned about viruses outbreak. including physical health (not just injuries but maybe simple things like insomnia) and mental health (like stress) but i think it’d only work if the game has more health problems paras could have either by age or randomly due to certain activities, and be able to cure them.

  • Love these ideas. What will also be really cool if you can sell your items to a retailer or flea market and have an extra income from home.
