    Hi, it’s my first time on this site. I have come to suggest some things that I think can make the lore or environment more interesting for crazy people like me. Something that I have always liked in games and stories is hidden or mysterious content, example:

    Mysteries: Buried alien ships, alien artifacts with unique abilities, skeletons of unknown creatures, rocks with strange writings, usable outfits etc.

    Ocultism: Cultists, magic, horrors that live underground, costumes, books of special knowledge, etc.

    Races: I don’t know what kind of goal Paralives has in its lore and its scope if we will see something like this in the future, however I would like to see this possibility within the game or at least see non-human / undead NPCs as part of some mystery or curiosity.

    Various extras: I don’t know if there will be skills or something like that, if so I would like to have skills that can be obtained, special skills of alchemy, magic, science, I know that it is something strange and that we have seen in other games but as I have already said previously I am the type of person who enjoys this type of thing. Thanks for this, I think paralives is a potential game since it has many things that people want to have in other titles but that they will never see. here is different and that makes them special. thanks again. I hope these ideas are useful to the development team. o/

  • Hey, I would LOVE Occult Parafolks. Occults, fantasy, and sci-fi stuff are literally my favorite part of these funky life-simulation games. I love what kind of spin they add to a game like this. Sims 3 was my all time favorite life simulation game. We had everything and I was hoping for basically everything we had in Sims 3, in Sims 4 but with updated graphics, animations, programming, character creation, and build mode. Nope. Not even REMOTELY what I got. I got updated technical stuff and character creation and 10X easier modding, which is fantastic.

    But basically got completely screwed out of Occult Sims for years. They COMPLETELY nerfed the aliens, the mages we got were really cool even though the familiars were kind of a failure but we are still super lacking in Occult content. And more than half the freaking players are going on and on and on about this boring hyper-realistic content. If that’s the way you enjoy your game, fine, but please make Occults an option for the rest of us, maybe?

    I just saw on the Wikipedia for Paralives that Alex Masse confirmed he wanted a “Realistic life simulator” and that Occults would not be in the game AT ALL but I could have sworn that he said he would love to add Occults in future updates when I was subscribing to their Patreon last year. So what’s the deal? Does anyone have an update on this? Occults are a huge part of the game for me. I am not interested in a fully realistic life simulation game. That’s kind of what ruined Sims 4 for me after having so many awesome Occult Sims in Sims 3.

    Everyone suddenly started wanting this hyper realistic nonsense and I’m not here for it. Do we have a recent, summer 2022 update confirming whether Occults are going to be part of the game or excluded? I am REALLY looking forward to this game and I will be freaking devastated if Occults aren’t added because they’re my favorite part of the whole game.

    I live real life everyday, I want some fantasy in my life simulator. It’s really fun to imagine what you’re day to day life would be like if you were a mage, a vampire, werewolf, fairy, merfolk, PlantSim, imaginary friend, etc. It’s very interesting for me to have fun living day to day things like work, budgeting, but oh I have a potion store to take care of people are doing duels outside my store, uh-oh! Like it just adds such a fun twist the game and that’s what I love about it. Exploring these fun little fantasy cultures and the “secret” societies of these different, very unique groups of people. And it’s really bothering me that they’re being completely removed from the game. I really hope not. If there’s no Occults in Paralives then I probably won’t buy the game.

  • <div>Sims franchise always does a shallow job at occult types. People are drawn to para lives with its more in depth implementation of certain ideas which helps them stand apart from their competitor. So I hope they focus on only 1 occult type only and go extra hard in it. Something that a Sim player will have to acknowledge how great they did in certain areas. My hope is for para lives goes extra hard in the witch occult type.

    Taking inspiration from American Horror Story Coven. The idea of having a para folk go on a journey to try and become the next “supreme”, or just joining a witch rabbit hole career to live a balanced magic/normal lifestyle.

    Include 3 categories of powers that all witches can learn. Enchantment/Potions/Verbal Spells. Some paras who love cooking may find the potions line of power be easier to learn… Those who love working with their hands would be excellent with enchantments… Those who are charismatic may find verbal skills easier to access.

    1. Supreme : Has 5 Main powers. 100% success with all 3 categories of magic.

    2. Base Witch : 1 – 3 Main powers. 70% success with all 3 categories of magic.

    A normal witch can inherit a main power genetically. Increase success rate or power of magic when casting it with another para to live out my TV show Charmed series fantasy. The current supreme will always have a limited lifecycle so when their life is over, their power will choose from a small pool of chosen paras which could be yours. Don’t want to wait then learn all 3 lines of power, poison the current supreme, and force the test to happen early to see if you can snatch the power. The test would need to be taken with 2 other paras and only 1 will survive.

    Make the powers simple but impactful to the environment around them, the 3 lines of power can be more like cheats to the game, playing with the lifecycle or including a genetic power passed down along with their eye color/hair color… etc shouldn’t be too hard to implement. Adding in the test event shouldn’t be too hard hopefully as well.

    I think the most difficult thing would be the idea of things you can do as the most powerful witch. Can you create more witches? Does your magic impact the lives/environment of regular para alot? How can they impact other regular witches like can they take away their magic or help make them stronger in case they are looking for a successor?

    Implementing a AHS Coven system might be much but I am just hoping for a TV Show Charmed edition where you can have witches just learn magic and join together in a mini coven to increase the power or unlock other types of magic.
