I got inspired by this idea (I know they had a survey about disabilities awhile ago and I participate in it) because of a discussion on discord the other night. What gameplay would you want to see for disabled paras? I would like to see adaptive sports, as well as the ability for disabled paras to have service dogs (and able-bodied paras, to be “puppy” families to train the service-dog-to-be). I know that at the bowling alley I haven’t been too since late February- had a little bowling ramp for people to throw balls on to bowl if they had limited mobility.

Of course, there is the stuff that would be technically necessary for the disabled person we’re playing with (even if it was ourselves if one was disabled)-like audio for blind people, or visually for deaf/hard of hearing, or something like ramps, elevators, and stairlifts? for people who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility. I just hope that Paraselves don’t change into work gear without glasses on-that’s an issue I have with the Sims series.

So what would you want to see for gameplay with disabled paras?

Even if disabilities don’t come in the base game. There could be elements (so to speak) for disabled people that could be used for non-disabled people. Like an accessible button is great if you have your arms full of groceries. And curb cuts are great for moms with strollers and teens with skateboards.
