Can we be homeless?
September 22, 2019 at 5:13 amI would love if a parafolk can be created and put in the game, and choose the option to purchase/ rent a home otherwise they can just roam the world with no place to stay. IDK it just sounds like it’d be really fun to have them find their way around fulfilling their needs without it being catered to them through a home. Just a minor detail idea.

Yessss! Thisss! I’d love to be able to do that with parafolk. Like you’d have to find places to sleep like a park bench or on floors in libraries etc. But they would be able to get jobs still and move up in the world. I’d like for them to be able to become homeless as well. So for instance if you don’t pay rent on time (or house payment if that’s a thing) you would be evicted and would have to either find a friend to stay with or fend for yourself. I think if there was an option to sleep in your car too that would be cool if cars are to be drivable in Paralives that is. As for food your para could order food in restaurants and your para could leave and not pay for it, also with the ability to get caught.

This would be a greater differential from The Sims than you ever can imagine.
Homeless = Harder Game. If create a random person/family on Paralives is starting to bore, the option of a homeless person, family can be a challenge that we still didn’t faced. It can make the game plasurable as we can’t even conceive.
I’d love it, just thinking about the challenge!

I totally agree! It would be cool if you had the option to choose how much your Parafolks start with. Players who want more are going to cheat anyway, so may as well make it easier for them to do so.
On that same thought, loans/mortgages would be awesome to implement. I know there’s been a time where I emergency had to buy something for my Sims and just cheated to give them like $1,000; but if you could take out a loan with interest that you could pay off over time, that would make it a more realistic.

This is an awesome idea! Living like nomads! It’d also be cool to do a gypsy type thing where you can travel to other parafolks world’s and ask permission to rent on of their houses or lots to stay in? Like put in a request or something and you can type a message before you send. Maybe we can also implement Rvs and Mobile homes for this? But getting off topic, Itd be cool to live a homeless life and have that inputted.

I totally agree with this type of idea of a less comfortable life-style. Besides the Gipsy life style, nomadism, I also think of some kind of modern hermits wanting to live closer to nature, perhaps with wolves or other wild animals.
Such parafolks, not conventional, could make also really great stories for all human history eras. I also think of people living in a cave or cave house, for example, or in a totally ruined house or place.

I like the idea of buying a totally ruined house (for a lot less money) that your para then has to spend time and money to build up (if the choose to). I’d like to see them fixing cracks on the wall, painting, fixing light fixtures/doors/windows, etc.

Agreed! It’s what we’ve done with our house, it would be such an interesting process to have in the game!
