Body Frame Slider
One of my all-time favorite games is Saints Row 2, one reason being the character customization (despite all the characters looking like potato heads). Instead of having a binary choice between masculine or feminine frames like in most games, SR2 would give you a slider instead. This is a game from 2008, I personally think it’s waaaaay ahead of its time and I don’t know if any other game does this.
Having a body slider instead of a binary choice would also make all clothing unisex. One thing I absolutely hated when I searched for Sims CC was finding a decent piece of clothing but finding out that it’s only for dudes, which is frustrating for someone who mostly creates female characters.
On the subject of SR2’s customization, clothing layers from the jacket down to the kind of underwear they put on would be pretty neat too.
I’d like to hear your thoughts on this.

Personally, I don’t mind this idea if it was alongside options of definite males and females, but I would be dissapointed if this was the only option. I wouldn’t like if there were no offical adult female or male body and I had to rely only on sliders. I know there a people who want to make Parafolk that don’t seem to align to male or female (and that’s fine), but I can’t see myself ever doing that, so I’d prefer to still have the option of making a male or female with only male and female clothing.
Perhaps they could make 3 options for adult bodies: a male frame that only wears male clothing, a female frame which only wears feamle clothing, and a unisex frame which can wear unisex clothing along with all options from females and males.

Incorporating diverse bodies is a good idea, but I think a slider would be complicated and not satisfactory to everyone – what characteristics change with the slider? I think there should be individual sliders for each characteristic. For cisgender players there should be restrictions to sliders to keep within the confines of typical sex characteristics, then I think there should be a check box if you want to remove gender restrictions on sliders. That is how I see that working. I would like all clothes to be unisex very much, though that’s not to say no to gendered clothing like dresses/skirts – I just want to be able to put them on whatever para I like. Definite yes to layering clothing, though I don’t think I need to choose their underwear – just the ability to toggle jackets and scarves and stuff over whatever I like would be good.
