The Paralives Hub Forums General Ideas Blacklist Option in PAM (Paramaker) for items

I believe that a Blacklist Option in PAM would beneficial and gives freedom to the players to decide what they want others to wear, so let me explain what I’m talking about.

The Blacklist Option for items in PAM (Paramaker) would be the option to blacklist items so other townies can’t wear them, this means while yes, you can manually make them wear the item, they can’t have the other parafolk townies wear that item that you have blacklisted.

This would be helpful since some items can look weird or out of place and unconventional, ruining immersion when you see parafolk wearing these kinds of items or just generally looking weird and being a pet peeve.

This could also solve any potential glitches that involve problems with Townies having clothes that were clearly not meant to be used, such as the infamous Sims 4 Clown Hair Glitch.

How it could work is that in PAM (Paramaker) you hover over the icon of that item and do a key-bind to blacklist the item, which in my opinion could be Shift + Double LMB (Left Mouse Button) to blacklist it, doing it again would white-list the item and vice-versa.

This can also be useful for Custom Content, as we can all understand lots of it can look weird or custom content can have different art-styles that would clash with each-other and this way there can be a way to fix them from clashing together or from townies wearing CC that wouldn’t fit regularly, such as CC in a fantasy setting.

With this quality of life feature being in Paralives, townies could potentially never look out of place and custom content will be less inconvenient, while allowing you to blacklist normal game items that you may just not like in general or you think is out of touch.

I hope you enjoyed reading this forum post, feel free to reply with some criticism, suggestions or just any general feedback and have a good day/night.

I love this idea. I really don’t want to see parafolks wearing wedding dresses/veils and carrying bouquets in everyday situations. I really, really don’t like men/young boys wearing earrings or in skirts/dresses – this should be left up to the player.

I agree and think it will be a good idea to have a blacklist of clothing paras can’t wear esp for gender/age. Like Amandac said its totally up to the players discretion to let them wear what they want in their own towns, but also have an option for others who don’t want that as well.
Like I wouldn’t want paras running around in mascot costumes (like sims 2) all the time or having time period clothing that doesn’t suit the time period of the actual world.

I approve of this idea. I hate random townie outfits! 😀
