  • To my surprise, he’s ready. Here is Sebestian. He looks nice. I love seeing the new customization options, it looks like there’s SOOOO much stuff we can do in the Paramaker.

    • I wasn’t expecting him so early!!! I’m super happy with his character design and his backstory is so sad but beautiful. Love how he’s both the first gay para and first single dad. It’s so wholesome and adorable! Love how inclusive the team is already, it’s very promising! I have a few pieces of constructive criticism (I think I’ll post that on another forum), but overall I’m extremely happy with this update and I love all of the customisation options!

  • He is cute and I love that he has a back story! Until I read what it was, I thought the freckles was a really bad case of adult acne, lol. I actually like the graphics even though some people may think it’s not “up to 2020 standards”. I hope we can truly pose our paras like the child in the picture – holding hands with both his parents while walking. An animation of this would be even better. I can’t wait to see the child and other life stages but what I’m most looking forward to is seeing how the paras interact with each other and the environment.

    Edit: I looked at the TS2 graphics with cc and now I’m not so happy with Sebastian. I like him better than Maggie, but I think they can improve them a little more. I don’t expect TS4 graphics, but at least TS2. Sorry about the comparison between the sims and paralives but that’s the only other game I have for comparison since I don’t play other games (for long anyway).

  • Just a little update here for anyone who already does not know:

    A new team member has joined! His name is Jérémie and he is a senior programmer! There are now 6 people which is lovely to see. It’s great to see the team growing. Léa says this will speed up the process a lot which is very exciting! Hope to see more updates in the future and a complete team of 10 at some point!

      • 10 is not the limit. However, will the Patreon funding reach a high enough amount to support more than that? That’s to be seen. The current monthly amount is higher than I ever expected it to be! It seems to be slowly raising as time goes by, too.

        • i reckon it could get enough funding! i mean, it’s not even too popular right now in comparison to other games, but it’s continuing to gain traction, especially among the sims community. so i reckon they’ll be able to get a lot more money than they have right now

  • A new update showing box stacking, used to create a fort. I absolutely love it. I’d certainly have my Paratoddlers and kids building forts for rainy day fun. I hope it will possible to do the same with cushions.

  • For everyone who hoped for a lot of name customization, you’ll be happy to see this.

    We’ll be getting options for nicknames, middle names, and the ability to switch around the first name and last name which is used in some Asian countries. We’ll also be able to disable the last name or first name.

    Alex plans to add name randomization and is considering artist/stage names and titles.

    • I heard we’ll be able to leave them nameless as well.

      I feel like that could be cool for telling the story of a mysterious amnesiac. Maybe all they would have is a nickname.

          • when I think of titles I don’t think of Mrs/Mrs/Ms as titles. I do think of either a)Professional titles (like Doctor) or b) I think of Aristocratic titles (Do=Duke, Monkeys=Marquis, Ever =Earl, Visit=Viscount Britain=Baron)

          • I think it might be for everything, even thou I would like for titles Mrs/Mr to be independent, since there are other titles like Mx., or maybe you want your parafolk to be called sir

  • That’s more customization than I will probably need but I’m glad it will be possible. I really like the nickname part and wonder how that will work. Like, will friends and family refer to the para by nickname or is it just something that shows up in PAM and you’ll be the only one that knows.

    • It’s been ages since I’ve been on the hub but this trailer brought the excitement back a little. The new logo is really cool! I like secret bookshelf doors even though I’ve seen them before, I live for simulated scandal 😉 The zipline would be great for tree houses. Jumping into the pool from up high sounds fun. I’ve never even thought about not wearing shoes inside, but it’s cool that people are getting something they care about.

    We all have an opportunity to give our ideas for the name of the cheat command that gives money!

    We can submit our names via the Paralives social media channels e.g. Discord, Twitter, Facebook.?

    Favorite names will become the options in a poll for Paralives Patrons this Friday.

    Our build mode programmer in chief, Jérémie, added these new features in the last few weeks. Some things that are still to be done include improving the UI and adding more frames, swatches and images to choose from. We’re working on plenty other features in other parts of the game and we’re looking forward to share that soon!

    • I saw this on discord and have already watched it like 5 times and will probably watch it 5 more times! There is so much in there and everything looks great! Eli is so cute and the small interaction between him and Sebastian is so adorable! I can’t wait to see more! Thank you for posting!
