Personally, these are my ideas for careers in the base game (there are obviously not enough, but these are the most vital ones)
- Doctor
- Police Officer
- Scientist
- Businessman (Big Business)
- Politician
- Teacher
- Chef
All of these would be fully interactable if possible (a la Get to Work) except for Businessman, which would be pretty boring in my opinion. Also, Politician ought to have more in-depth election mechanics, even if it would just be a little campaigning, donations, and asking for votes (though corruption/bribery would be epic). Then there are jobs to be added later or to be put in expansion packs (of course, quite of few of these could also be base game jobs):
- Businessman (Small Business / Business Owner)
- Commercial Farmer
- Commercial Fisherman
- Criminal
- Firefighter
- Detective
- Lawyer / Judge
- Architect / Construction Worker / Interior Designer
- Game Developer / Programmer (Masse, if you read this, put an easter egg of yourself in it)
- Alchemist (Paranormal Expansion Pack)
- Lifeguard
Lastly are the minor jobs, requiring no or only a few skills like part-time jobs (though they might require relationships). Unlike the major jobs, these would mostly be unviewable or uninteractable, though quite a few would make interesting choices:
- Maid
- Babysitter
- Gardener (for a mansion)
- Receptionist
- Masseuse
- Taxi / Carpool / Ridesharing Driver
- Bartender (this could be a major job)
- Butler
