I haven’t seen a forum posted for hairstyles yet so I guess we can all put our ideas here (making sure none haven’t already been mentioned).
What kind of hairstyles would you like to see? List your ideas for each category male and female and gender neutral. Including the different age groups toddlers-elders it’d be under.
Also post photos if needed! 🙂

Not entirely related but I think it’d be really nice to see the ability to not just order the types of hairstyles by texture-type, but to be able to set the texture for each hairstyle (a few extra textures/hair-types than what Sims has to offer would be nice, though of course that would be a loott of pressure on the designer of the models). A way to reverse/mirror the hair on a Para during DAP would be nice too.
I’ll list some classics so people can expand though:
Long-Cut Hairstyles: (Mostly Feminine)
– Simple, down and free, with varying lengths (Sims never really had a hairstyle that was any longer than the shoulders? That would be nice if possible with the character models)
– Basic ponytail, tied high, medium & low
– Pigtails, tied high, medium & low
– Single & double braid
– French braid
– French twist
– Messy bun & Classic bun
– Pixie cut
Short-Cut Hairstyles: (Mostly Masculine)
– Side parting
– Bowl cut
– Natural Look & Messy Look
I think most of those don’t have a need for age categorizing, but I thought I’d just start off the list.3+September 3, 2019 at 9:04 pm #4861cakeefeaturedParticipant

I personally hope there are a large amount of short hair styles, especially for masculine parafolk. Very few guys that I know in real life have hair longer than, say, 3 inches, yet I feel like so many depictions of masculine hair (I’m looking at you, TS3), show mostly long hair styles. Here are some examples of what I have in mind:
You know what would be really awesome? Some sort of way in-game (or out of game) that those who aren’t super privy to game development/CC creation can create their own hairstyles easily. Like mold it in their own way. Implementing this might require the hair to have low detail, though, so I’m not sure that it would necessarily be worth it.EDIT: I now see this thread[/url] which is essentially what I had in mind!
IN ANY CASE, HATS and other accessories should be able to be placed on any hairstyle!!!

I’ve seen a lot about the textures of the hairstyles, which I think is really important.
I think there should be sliders for the curliness if that was possible. Then there would be no issues on accuracy. I think length should also be a slider (for the hair styles applicable).4+January 14, 2020 at 3:24 pm #6578SmallestPolarBearParticipant

I think we should have the obvious basic hair styles like up, down, ponytail, bun, pigtails, etc. but there you can choose the hair texture and that hairstyle will conform to that hair texture and it could be diverse to have all the curl types, same way you would pick hair color. That way you don’t have to hope the hairstyle you want will be the right type of curly or wavy.1+
